Insyde bios update same version install#
I just want to ask, anybody here was able to install all the drivers for win xp properly with this new bios update (F.24) especially the one for the sound driver, w/c is the only problem i was not able to solve? problem happened when i try other bios version. Once i was able to get to my friend's house to check what was done i saw that they have upgraded the bios to F.24.
so that only means that they were not able to fix the blue screen error. we had win xp installed before the problem happened. after getting the laptop back my friend turned it on and found win vista home premium installed w/c is not activated over that internet. after fixing the the boot problem they tried to fix the blue screen error, w/c is kind of odd since that is not their concern anymore since we bought it without an os installed. they said that they had to replace the mobo twice.
they did not left any written report as to what was the cause of the problem. UPDATE: hp have delivered the cq40 121tu back to my friend's house just a few days ago. The BIOS files appear to be in this format When loaded the notebook started flashing, indicated by beeps every 2 seconds.Ībout 5 seconds after the beeping had stopped the notebook shutdown. No beeping sounds heard during the loading time. If the file was found then it took about 12 seconds for the notebook to load it. HeyI had the same popup and because of the icon, I was afraid that it would be a virus so what I did was, I went to the C-drive>BIOS and deleted the folder present in there. Then I went through Lenovo Vantage, and checked for updates and then the bios update poped up and then I hit install and the same install guide poped up, that made me sure that this is an original update so. If the file was not found, the notebook would reset itself and try again. The number of files on the thumb drive, from just one beep to many. The number of beeps varied, depending on how big the thumb drive was and While searching for the file the notebook beeped once a second. On the CQ45-107TX the touch pad LED came on as amber (disabled) instead of the normal white (enabled).Īfter about 10 seconds the notebook started reading the USB thumb drive. When the LEDs came on, let go of power button and the two keys held down earlier.
Pressed the 'Power' button on the notebook. Held down the 'Windows' Key and the 'B' key. Inserted the USB thumb drive into one of the USB ports on the notebook. Every once in a while, I will find that there is an Insyde BIOS update ready to be installed.
